“Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles:” (Deut. 16:16).

Pursuant to the scriptures, God commands attendance at His seven annual Holy Days. These Holy Days are specifically outlined in the twenty-third chapter of Leviticus. Holy Days are holy convocations and are Sabbaths. (Lev. 23: 1-2; Ex. 31: 13).

Greetings Everyone,
We are now approaching the Fall Holy Day Season. It is evident by reviewing all the relevant scriptures relating to the Holy Days that the Fall Holy Day Season consists of The Feast of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, The Feast of Tabernacles and The Last Great Day. (Lev. 23: 23-44).
Many of you receiving this letter are familiar with God’s Holy Days. While some of you are new to this ministry and receiving this information for the very first time. (If you are new, and would like to know more about the spiritual significance of God”s Holy Days, please send for our FREE reprint article, “God’s Master Plan of Salvation”).
This year the Feast of Trumpets will be observed on September 30th. The Day of Atonement will be observed on October 9th, and the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day will be observed October 14th thru October 21st. Those of you on our monthly DVD mailing list will be receiving sermon messages for The Feast of Trumpets and The Day of Atonement. We will not be sending out Feast tape sermons as we will be observing the Feast in Lexington, KY at the Best Western Inn. (Previously Holiday Inn South).
We will NOT be sending out a September monthly letter as we will be preparing for the Feast of Tabernacles. The next letter you will receive will be in October. All feast sermons will be available after the feast upon request at the website and via a mail-in request card you will receive in the October letter.

HOLY DAY ENVELOPES
We have included two HDO (Holy Day Envelopes) in this letter as God requires an offering to be taken up on each of the seven annual Holy Days. (Deut. 16: 16-17). No envelopes for the Feast and The Last Great Day were included as we will provide them at the Feast.

FEAST ACTIVITIES

Auction
For the past several years we have conducted a Church Auction at the Feast. The funds collected are used to help defray costs of The Feast. Those of you who would like to contribute may bring a variety of items to be auctioned off. We request that you bring new items or good used items (no clothing please).

Fun Show
One of the activities that allows us to “let our hair down” and have some fun is the Feast Fun Show. We would like to encourage as many of you as possible to participate. In the past we have been entertained by musicians, story tellers, poems, skits and a variety of entertaining acts. Don’t be shy, plan to share the talents God has given you with others. Isn’t that what the Feast is all about?

Clothes Closet
If you have any used clothing that you want to donate please bring it along to the feast. We ask that the clothing be of good quality and clean. I have seen some pretty nice pieces in the Closet, so plan to visit. Who knows, you may take home a nice piece of clothing, ‘CHEAP’!

Church Picnic
Once again we have reserved a shelter (#2) at Jacobson’s Park for a church picnic. Plan to bring along any board games you may want to play, your musical instruments or any other form of entertainment you may want to share with others. And, oh yes, pray for GOOD WEATHER!

Bluegrass Tour
This year we will have a new addition to our Feast Activities. We have booked a Bluegrass Tour. Among the highlights of the Tour is a visit to a retirement home for race horses. Get up close and personal with a famous race horse, but remember, no “horsing around.” If you would like to attend please click the appropriate button below. There will also be a sign-up sheet available at the Feast site.
We have scheduled other activities for our teens as well as Youth and Adult Bible Studies. And don’t forget the Church choir. Be tuning up your voices. But remember, we are to attend the Feast first and foremost to worship our Great God. We hope to see you all there.

This month we would like to offer two CD’s. “What on Earth is God Doing?”, and “Seek God’s Input.” As always they are FREE.

Sincerely,
